FBI agents hope to bring "fresh eyes" to old case

The Wilmington Police Department has former FBI agents working on the Carol Ann Johnson in hopes of shedding new light on the case.

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – Detectives are still actively looking for answers after Carol Ann Johnson was murdered in her own home on a holiday.

Johnson was found dead in her home in the Pine Valley neighborhood in July 2011.

Detectives have been working the case for more than a year now.

In a press conference held at the Wilmington Police Department, detectives said results they were waiting for came back inconclusive.

Wilmington Police Chief Ralph Evangelous added the department has former FBI agents working the case. They hope the fresh eyes will bring new light on the case.
