NEW HANOVER/PENDER COUNTY, NC (WECT) -

A Wilmington family in mourning have made funeral arrangements to properly lay their fallen loved one to rest.

Jasmin Virginia Grady, 20, was killed in a single car accident on highway 17 in Hampstead this past weekend.

According to her twin brother, Kenneth, funeral plans have been set for Monday, July 21 at 1 p.m. at Northside Baptist Church in Wilmington.

Since she died last week, he's been making a push on social media hoping to get famous rapper, Drake, to play at his sister's funeral.

Her twin brother, Kenneth said that her dream was to have rapper Drake play at her funeral, so he started a "hashtag" on twitter to spread the word.

By the end of the day on Monday, #DrakeSingForJasmin was the #1 trending topic on Twitter worldwide.

However, even if Drake doesn't come for the funeral, Grady says he did the right thing by honoring his sister.

"It would be great if he came but at the same time I feel like, even with all the twitter stuff going on, just her being on Instagram and twitter, I feel like we already accomplished a goal," Grady said. "A lot of people that I don't even know, I mean they know who she is."

There is still no official word on whether or not Drake plans to perform at the funeral.

According to Trooper Cutler with the NC Highway Patrol, Jasmin Virginia Grady, 20, was a passenger in a car traveling south on Highway 17 towards Wilmington when the accident happened on Sunday morning.

Cutler said the car involved, a 2011 Hyundai Accent, ran off the road and flipped over near the intersection of Highway 17 and Highway 210.

According to Cutler, Grady was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and was partially ejected from the vehicle. She died at the scene.

The driver of the car, Alencia Wilson, 20, of Jacksonville suffered minor injuries. She's been charged with misdemeanor death by motor vehicle.

Officials do not believe alcohol or drugs were involved and blood tests on the victims are pending.

Both Wilson and Grady were considered to be "best friends," according to Cutler.
